Public General Admission
At The Serpent Center – the first weekend of each month – the general public can explore the fascinating world of venomous reptiles. Open both Saturday and Sunday, from 12 noon until 5:00 pm, with last admission at 4:30 pm, admission is only $6 per person (includes tax).
One of the Center’s main attractions is its diverse collection of venomous snakes, both native to the southeastern United States and exotic species from around the world. Through these exhibits, visitors gain a firsthand look at snakes they may never encounter otherwise, from rattlesnakes and copperheads to cobras and vipers. Each exhibit includes educational plaques that describe the species’ characteristics, venom properties, and ecological role.
The Serpent Center is home to an impressive variety of venomous snakes, each showcased in carefully designed habitats that allow visitors to observe their unique behaviors up close.
This public access allows the Serpent Center to reach a wider audience, ensuring that everyone can benefit from its educational offerings.

Private Tours
One of the Center’s highlights is its private tour program. These customized experiences allow groups to engage directly with knowledgeable staff and have the opportunity to observe the snakes up close.
During these tours, visitors learn about species-specific traits, habitats, and conservation efforts, gaining insights that enrich their appreciation for reptiles.
Private tours are 90+ minutes, accommodating up to 5 guests, and include a venomous snake education and live demonstration with William Beard for $100.
